Delicious Fall

We had a few friends over for games last weekend and I cooked up a small feast for us to share.  Ahem, Natalie and I cooked up a small feast.  Working together in the kitchen with Natalie is a beautiful thing.  She’s quick on her feet with everything even though by that point in the day I’m pretty sure she could have fallen asleep standing up (she’d been up for a 4AM shift at work that morning).  Cooking with friends it one of those things that makes life sweet. Anyway, everyone kindly indulged my strange collection of fall-inspired dishes.  They were decadent, groan-worthy, and I want to share the line-up with you:

Cornbread sausage stuffing via Eating Well (counts as a casserole, right?):

Sweet potato rounds via Stone Soup (at last, a savory sweet potato recipe!):

Brussels sprouts also via Stone Soup (tho we veered a bit from the recipe):

Pôts de Crème via Jenna’s Everything Blog (Leftovers; guys there were leftovers.  yum!):

I was in heaven.  Happy Turkey-day!

Those sweet potato rounds look a-MAzing! And cooking with friends and family for friends and family = the best.

It’s a small tragedy that there were leftover pots de creme. I suppose it’s testament to the deliciousness of everything preceding them!

Heh, I hope so. I was selfishly quite excited there were leftovers. I got to nibble them for the rest of the week.
